NUJ DELTA CELEBRATES ANIAGWU ON BIRTHDAY

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has felicitated the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on his birthday, describing him as a distinguished public servant and accomplished communicator.

In a statement signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu, the union commended Aniagwu for his contributions to public service, particularly his role in communicating government policies and programmes to the people of Delta State.

The NUJ said the commissioner had, over the years, demonstrated professionalism and strategic communication skills in managing the relationship between government and the media.

According to the union, Aniagwu’s accessibility and media-friendly disposition have strengthened the partnership between government and journalists in the state, noting that the media remains an important institution in promoting accountability, democratic governance and development.

The Council also acknowledged his role in the Works (Rural Roads) portfolio, saying his experience and commitment to grassroots development would contribute to improving rural connectivity and infrastructure across the state.

The NUJ Delta Council wished the commissioner sound health, wisdom and renewed strength, praying that his new year will bring greater accomplishments in his service to Delta State and humanity.

The Council expressed hope that Aniagwu would continue to make meaningful contributions to the growth and development of the state.
