The Tompolo’s PBAT and Sheriff Door-to-Door Movement, Uwheru Ward 9, has commenced intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a stakeholders’ meeting involving party leaders and political stakeholders in the ward.
The strategic meeting, held in Uwheru, brought together APC unit chairmen, ward executives and LGA leaders from the ward to deliberate on strengthening the movement’s grassroots structure and expanding its engagement with constituents.
The mobilisation is aimed at building support for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Ward 9 leadership of the movement, led by Comrade Yisah Peter, was joined by Comrade Sunny Utuedor, Comrade Ewini Famous Akpode and Ambassador Prince Ruona Ujeyah, among other stakeholders.
Also in attendance were the Uwheru APC Ward Chairman, Mr Efemona Gideon; LGA APC Ex-Officio, Chief Correct Ubiomo; Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Community Development, Mr Edafe Diadenaru; Uwheru APC Ward Vice Chairman, Mrs Theresa Asarah; and Assistant Woman Leader, Mrs Rose Egboye.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Yisah Peter called on party leaders, unit chairmen and supporters to intensify their grassroots mobilisation efforts and ensure a strong presence of the movement across the 32 units in Uwheru Ward 9 and other parts of Delta State.
He said the PBAT and Sheriff Door-to-Door Movement was established to strengthen communication between the political leadership and the people at the grassroots, while promoting greater awareness of the policies, programmes and achievements of the Tinubu and Oborevwori administrations.
Comrade Sunny Utuedor and Ambassador Prince Ruona Ujeyah also called for sustained support for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other APC candidates, stressing that continuous engagement with constituents was essential to building a formidable grassroots political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
In his remarks, the Uwheru Ward 9 APC Chairman, Mr Efemona Gideon, urged unit chairmen, ward leaders and LGA executives from the ward to work closely with stakeholders, youths, women and community groups to broaden the movement’s outreach.
He urged members to remain committed, disciplined and focused, noting that sustained and inclusive grassroots engagement would be critical to the success of the mobilisation drive.
The meeting is part of growing political activities ahead of the 2027 elections, as political organisations and support groups intensify efforts to consolidate their structures and expand their reach across units, wards, local government areas and communities.
