Former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Eguavoen has arrived Asaba ahead of the 4 day CAF ‘D’ Coaching LICENCE refresher Course for some selected Coaches from within and outside Delta State.
The 1994 African Cup of Nations Assistant Captain arrived Asaba alongside top CAF and NFF instructors who would be drilling the Coaches for 4 days at the Patrick Okpomo House, Headquarters of the Delta State Football Association, Asaba.
The NFF Technical Director had swung into action after arrival with the accreditation of the 40 Coaches selected for the exercise.
The Chairman of the Delta State Football Association Chief Godwin Adode who has been working round the clock to ensure that Delta State Coaches become better described the arrival of Mr. Eguavoen as a testament to the seriousness of the program and called on the participating coaches to take the exercise seriously as it would enhance their knowledge of the game as well as put them on the pedestal to joining their counterparts across Africa.
Chief Adode also lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his continued support to the DFA while thanking Engineer Rex Mafiana for throwing his weight behind the program stressing that he had remained a credible partner with the DFA.
The 4 days CAF ‘D’ Coaching LICENCE commences on Monday with the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori expected to be the Guest of Honour while other Nigerian football stakeholders would be in attendance.
