Nigeria has set its sights on continental success as the country’s men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams headed to Alexandria, Egypt, for the 2026 African Beach Volleyball Championship.
The Nigerian teams will join the continent’s leading beach volleyball nations at the championship, with both sides aiming to make their presence felt in the Egyptian city.
The competition offers the Nigerian players an opportunity to measure their progress against some of Africa’s best and gain crucial experience on the international stage.
With the teams now in Egypt, attention shifts to the technical and competitive demands of the championship as Nigeria looks to produce performances capable of earning continental recognition.
The participation of the two teams is also expected to contribute to the continued growth and exposure of beach volleyball in Nigeria, with the players carrying the country’s hopes into the continental contest.
Nigeria will be hoping its representatives can translate their preparations into strong performances when the championship gets underway in Alexandria.
