NUJ Delta Mourns Ex-Aniocha South LG Chairman, Condoles Secretary Victor Sorokwu Over Brother’s Death

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hon. Emmanuel Sorokwu, former Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area and elder brother of the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu.

In a condolence message signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Acting Secretary, Comrade Josephine Omodior, the union described the late Emmanuel Sorokwu’s passing as a painful loss to his family and all who knew him.

On behalf of the State Working Committee (SWC) and the entire membership of the Council, the NUJ extended its heartfelt condolences to Comrade Victor Sorokwu and the Sorokwu family, assuring them of its solidarity during this difficult period.

“The death of a loved one is one of life’s greatest sorrows. While no words can truly ease the pain of such an irreplaceable loss, we stand with Comrade Victor Sorokwu and his family as they mourn,” the statement read.

The Council prayed that God would grant the bereaved family the strength and comfort to bear the loss, urging them to take solace in the exemplary life and enduring legacy of the late former council chairman, whose contributions to humanity, it noted, would remain unforgettable.

The NUJ also prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased, saying, “May his gentle soul continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
