The Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Dr. Julius Takeme (JP), has, on behalf of the Government and people of Burutu Local Government Area, warmly welcomed the Wife of the Executive Governor of Delta State, H.E. Deaconess Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori, and the You Matter Charity Foundation team ahead of their scheduled humanitarian outreach to Kiagbodo Town, Burutu Local Government Area, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
In a pre arrival message, Chief Takeme described the visit as a great honour for the people of Burutu, noting that the outreach forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing tour of the Federal Constituencies across Delta State. He explained that Burutu Federal Constituency, which comprises only Burutu Local Government Area, is privileged to host Her Excellency as the Foundation continues its humanitarian mission across the state.
The Chairman further noted that Her Excellency’s pet project, the You Matter Charity Foundation, has continued to empower Deltans by supporting children with special needs, empowering women, and uplifting vulnerable groups under its inspiring motto, “Everybody is Somebody.”
According to Chief Takeme, “We are honoured to receive Her Excellency, not only because of the office she occupies, but because of the genuine compassion and selfless service she has consistently demonstrated through the You Matter Charity Foundation. Her commitment to touching lives has brought hope to countless families across Delta State.”
Chief Takeme said the people of Burutu deeply appreciate the Foundation’s humanitarian interventions and expressed confidence that the outreach would bring renewed hope and lasting impact to beneficiaries across the Federal Constituency.
The Chairman also used the opportunity to invite all well meaning leaders and citizens of Burutu Local Government Area, political office holders, party faithful, councillors, community leaders, the Queens of the Kings in the Local Government Area, religious bodies, civil society organizations, youths, women groups, friends of Burutu Local Government Area, and other stakeholders, from the ward level to the Federal level, irrespective of political affiliation, to converge on Kiagbodo Town to accord H.E. Deaconess Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori and the You Matter Charity Foundation team a warm and befitting reception.
“I urge all our leaders, stakeholders, party faithful, religious organizations, civil society groups, and the good people of Burutu to come out in their numbers as we welcome Her Excellency. Let us demonstrate the unity, hospitality, and appreciation for which Burutu is known as we receive a woman whose passion for humanity continues to positively impact lives across our dear state,” Chief Takeme said.
He reaffirmed that Burutu is fully prepared to receive Her Excellency and her team and expressed optimism that the outreach would further strengthen the Foundation’s humanitarian impact while leaving a lasting legacy of hope and empowerment for the people of Burutu Federal Constituency.
